Points for showing up — verified, not self-reported
Staff schedule an event, drop a geofence on it and set the points. Students standing at the venue check in from their own phone: the app confirms they are inside the fence on a real map, then confirms it is actually them with an on-device face match. Points land in a ledger that unlocks levels, badges and rewards the school chooses.

Privacy by construction
Student data rules enforced on the server, not in the interface
Minimum access, per areaStudents see only their own records. Guardians see only students the school linked to them, and only the areas each flag allows.
Face matching stays on the deviceCamera frames are matched locally against the school ID photo. Only a pass/fail and a score are stored, and biometric consent is respected.
Location checked once, never trackedA position is read only while a student is checking in, and only compared against that event’s geofence.
Coaching stays privateConversations are not shared with teachers or parents; safety escalation exposes the minimum excerpt to authorized staff only.
Messages are school recordThreads are participant-scoped and auditable. Removed messages stay recoverable for oversight rather than vanishing.
Opt-outs that are realLeaderboards can show first names, house totals, or nothing at all — and a student can be excluded entirely.
